Dan Rambousek, along with the founders of Nextbike Czech Republic, is behind the development of bike-sharing in the Czech Republic. Over the past seven years, he has helped establish a network of bike sharing schemes operating in over 100 cities and towns across the country. He and his team have been instrumental in transforming bike sharing from local urban systems into an interconnected component of regional mobility.

As well as collaborating with cities, he has successfully engaged with regions and promoted the concept of shared bicycles as a means of transport connecting cities, towns and public transport. He has also played a role in connecting bike sharing with universities, major cultural events and the private sector. He currently serves as CEO of nextbike Slovakia, building on his experience in the Czech market to develop a similar vision for interconnected and accessible shared mobility in Slovakia.
