Edda Ívarsdóttir is the head urban designer for the City of Reykjavík. She has a multidisciplinary background connecting fashion, industrial design, planning, landscaping, architecture and fine art, all of which contributes to her design work as an urban designer. In Reykjavík she leads projects ranging from small urban interventions to large public spaces and design guidelines for new neighbourhoods. Edda is a graduate of Sustainable Urban Design at the School of Architecture, Lund University, 2013. Her main interest in urban design is the city as a living organism, combining everyday life with nature within the city, enabling social interaction and creating enjoyable human-scale places.
