Silvia Prokopová (SK)
Self-Governing Trnava RegionSilvia works as a cycling coordinator for the Self-Governing Trnava Region. She is actively involved in the development of cycling infrastructure in the region and her aim is to spread the idea of sustainable mobility among local governments. She came up with the idea of the Spring and Autumn School of Cycling for Municipal Representatives educational cycle, which was the first of its kind in Slovakia. The cycle has been successfully implemented in other regions and its continuation is currently being prepared under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic. Thanks to her work, the Trnava Self-governing Region was also awarded the European Mobility Week Award in 2022 and 2023 in the category of Active Self-governing Region. In 2022, she also received a special award for her outstanding contribution to the development of cycling in Slovakia.
